Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of These Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the GoPuppy mobile applications for iOS and Android and the website gopuppy.app (together, the "Service"), operated by GoPuppy ("we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. The Service

GoPuppy helps you organize your pet's care: pet profiles, reminders, care events, health records, weight tracking, notes, and shared care with family members and caregivers. We may add, change, or remove features at any time as the Service evolves.

3. Eligibility and Your Account

• You must be at least 13 years old (or the higher minimum age in your country) to use the Service.
• You agree to provide accurate account information and keep it up to date.
• You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account. Keep access to your email and sign-in methods secure, and notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

• Parts of the Service are free; premium features require a paid subscription ("GoPuppy Premium").
• Subscriptions are purchased and billed through your Apple App Store or Google Play account, at the price shown before you confirm the purchase.
• Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Deleting the app does not cancel your subscription.
• If a subscription includes a free trial, you will be charged when the trial ends unless you cancel before then. Any unused trial period is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
• Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies; we cannot issue refunds for purchases made through their stores.
• We may change subscription prices; changes apply to future billing periods, and you will be notified in accordance with the applicable store's rules before they take effect.
• Free-plan limits (such as the number of pets, active reminders, or history retention) may apply and may change over time.

5. Your Content

You own the content you add to the Service, such as pet information, photos, and notes ("Your Content"). You grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, store, process, and display Your Content solely to operate and improve the Service — for example, syncing it across your devices and sharing it with the household members you invite. You are responsible for Your Content and must have the rights to upload it.

6. Shared Households

When you invite someone to help care for a pet, they can see and contribute to that pet's information (such as care events, reminders, health records, and photos). Only invite people you trust. If you remove a caregiver or leave a household, access changes take effect going forward; contributions already made may remain in the pet's history.

7. Not Veterinary Advice

GoPuppy is an organizational tool. Nothing in the Service — including reminders, health tracking features, and blog content — is veterinary, medical, or professional advice, and it should never replace the judgment of a licensed veterinarian. Always consult a veterinarian about your pet's health, and contact an emergency vet immediately if your pet needs urgent care. Do not rely on the Service's reminders as the sole safeguard for critical care such as medication.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
• Upload content that is illegal, infringing, harmful, or that you have no right to share.
• Attempt to access other users' accounts or data without authorization.
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service, including probing, scraping, or overloading our systems.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or resell the Service, except where the law permits it.

9. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, design, logos, and content we create (such as blog articles), is owned by GoPuppy or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. Except for the limited right to use the Service under these Terms, no rights are granted to you.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time in the app (Profile → Delete Account); deletion is described in our Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will survive.

11. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that notifications and reminders will always be delivered on time.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, GoPuppy will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service — including harm resulting from missed or delayed reminders. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or USD 50. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including consumer rights under the Brazilian Consumer Protection Code where it applies.

13. App Store Terms

If you downloaded the app from the Apple App Store: these Terms are between you and GoPuppy, not Apple; Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app and is not responsible for addressing any claims relating to it; and Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you. If you downloaded the app from Google Play, your use is also subject to the Google Play Terms of Service.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you in the app or by email. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federative Republic of Brazil, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of your domicile when you are a consumer, or otherwise in the courts of Brazil.
